Harriet Tubman was an abolitionist who was born into slavery during 1822 in  Eastern Shore Maryland just the next county over to Frederick Douglass' birthplace.
Harriet Tubman was a spy and scout for the Continental Army. She also fought for women's rights.

Harriet Tubman Underground Railroad National Park Visitor Center and Harriet Tubman Byway opened on March 10, 2017 which is known as Tubman Day in Maryland.
